Kiva Pool

Centered in the courtyard between the Plaza, Pueblo and Cliffside Suites is the new Kiva Pool. This private pool is a stunning new addition and amenity for guests lodging in these suites.

The pool is open from 6 am - 12 midnight every day and is available to guests 14 years and older.

Children ages 2 - 13 years old are welcome in the Large Pool only from 10 am to 6 pm, and any time in Private Outdoor Pools (for an additional cost) and must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Pueblo Indians native to the area traditionally used kivas, a circular area dug into the ground, covered with vigas (long, fully intact pine logs stripped of foliage) and accessible by ladders, as a gathering place for the performance of sacred rituals. Ojo's sacred waters are a perfect complement to this traditionally-inspired design. The Kiva Pool’s round shape and stone accents echo the original Native American design. The waters at Ojo have been deemed sacred by the 8 Northern Pueblo tribal communities for nearly 3,000 years. Pueblo ruins rest just above the property and overlook the new Kiva Pool.

The Kiva Pool is filled with a combination of iron and arsenic mineral waters. Iron is considered to be beneficial to the blood and immune system, preventing fatigue and promoting healthy skin tone. Arsenic water is believed to relieve digestive problems and relieve symptoms of arthritis.
